Social areas of work with students in Tomsk State Pedagogical University ennables to create special educational setting, focused on creative self-realization, proactive stance, social responsibility, development of management skills . At present when the civil society in Russia is being formed, these qualities are necessary for future teachers!

TSPU Student Council is an initiative group of students created to represent students. Student Council activities are based on self-management, a proactive, self-responsible joint activities that are not indifferent to the fate of their own students.

The primary objective is to prepare students for effective professional activities on the basis of the active life position , the development of management skills and ability to make decisions .

Main activities:

• promoting efficient organization of the educational process and research work of students;
• promoting healthy lifestyles in the educational institution and the prevention of anti-social phenomena ;
• development and training of student activists ;
• contribute to the promotion of students for active scientific, educational and social activities, purpose and personal scholarships for high academic achievement, active scientific and social activity;
• develop and implement own social projects and support student initiatives .
